Hi,i was just wondering if anyone could help me out. I'm currently doing my a-level essay and am covering tribes. I wanted to know if there is anyone on here that is any good on photoshop and is willing to help me out?

I have made a model using clay, and i wanted to use this model as a front cover on my essay and wanted to make it look more tribal with leaves and branches covering bits of my image making it look as if its in the forest.

If you know what i mean and would be happy to help, then i would be very very grateful.

If you are willing to help and have a spare 5 minutes on your hands i would very much appreciate it.

My email is [email protected], plz message me if you will help me out, thanks :)

BTW sorry if it seems alittle cheeky of me but i do not have photoshop and would'nt have the slightest clue how to use it.
Heres the image you can use....

let me know and ill pm you my email address

if you can photograph it on a white or green back ground without anything around it, then it will be easier to put things behind it on the edited pic.

Yes, if you can shoot it against a white background I may be able to help, but as it is, it will be very difficult to pull the statue out of that picture. If the background were white, I'd just cut the statue out and insert it into a photo of jungle vegetation.

If you can post a shot if this against a White background I'll give it a go.

its not too difficult to cut out the statue using the pen tool, what is hard though is making the image looke realistic against a background simply due to the angle that the photo was shot from.

Actually, it is better that the statue is taken at an angle becuse it gives a more realistic natural stance and personally i would prefer it this way. Cutting out is not going to be a problem . All you need to do it zoom in close and have some patience.

I am sure it is too late now as i have only just discovered this request, but simply cutting out the statue and plonking it with a nice jungle background will not look convincing. You will need to build up the layers of vegitation and make sure that the leaves and vines used are scaled correctly to give the statue a depth of size. Creating a set of custom brushes will help speed this up. You may also show some erosion and have moss growing.

To do a convincing job is a lot of work and i would be interested to see any results that other members have produced for you if you still have them.

i use nearly every adobe program - -

from web editing to photo editing - -

then great -- good luck to your a-levels

I use the GIMP. It has all the photoshop tools that I could want. In terms of the angle, the same piece shot from a low angle would be even better, give it a kind of monolithic look.

Hi,

If you get stuck I can do something for you regardles of the current background I can take it out of one and place into another or make it look like anything you desire..

Looks like you have sufficient support here but give me a shout if your stuck...

Good Luck :good:

top program Gimp, lol especially good if you don't have access to torrents!!!!!!!!! be warned though, it is good, but the JPG compression is not up to the quality of the photoshop one.

surly the main problem here, is getting a background pic that has been shot from the same angle as the original? well if you want to successfully make it look real. that has been my problem so far. plus for shadows and things, its an advantage to have something like illustrator too.

yeh thanks MHunt, that, amongst other things, illustrates my point very well! :good: :good:

Yeah that was done in about 10 minutes, the perspective and blending could be tweaked but is a very time consuming job. But it depends on the level of detail and professionalism the OP needs.

Hi MHunt.

You could try repositioning the statue in between those two trees, somewhere near where the light meets the track. The lighting of the statue may look a little more convincing here...? Only thing is you may have to scale the staue down a little...to match the surrounding area.

Other than that, pretty decent job considering the source.
