Anyone Else Here Keeping Na Natives?

Anyone else here keeping some NA natives? Currently keeping 6 Green Sunfish and one overly large golden shiner, moving into the world of bass and catfish soon. Am I a lone ranger here or anyone else keeping them? Maybe if there are a few of us getting some sort of guides up for keeping these fish so I don't have to type them all?

I caught some shiner minnows and I keep them with my goldfish. They seem to like a lot of floating grass to hide under and they like flake food as well as fast moving water and they prefer it cold. At least, this is what it seems like to me. I havn't ever kept the Sunfish - I caught one and wanted to keep it in my tank but was told it wouldn't live so I let it go.

No, I will be catching small ones and keeping them until they are large, then freezing them for food for my pet nile monitor. Not keeping them at full size, thats a bit ridiculous LOL

From what I've read in the laws the only rules are no netting the fish, and must follow the bag limit. If I catch it hook and line it's fair game from what I see.

As long as its above the minimum size limit for black bass and you have a fishing license

I haven't seen any minimum size limits for bass anywhere in my local laws, and of course I have a fishing license

When I was a kid we couldn't get tropical fish, and we lived out in the boonies so my older brother and I would sein for fish like minnows and occasionally we'd get baby bass or sunfish, we'd keep them til they were getting too big for the tank or we just wanted new fish, then we'd let them go again. Dunno if it was legal though, we were just kids...
