Anyone Been In Beverley Or York Maidenhead Lately?

Just wondered if anyone has been in either of these two shops recently. I saw some kind of cichlid in there that caught my eye.... didn't get chance to ask staff about it as they were really busy in one shop and kids acted up in the other so were frog marched out

Yeah I thought that but i'm quite rubbish at that sort of thing, I would know it if I saw a pic!! I will have a go and see what happens lol

OK quite large maybe 8" or so (rubbish with guestimates) had a pinkish under belly and up sides slightly, rest of body was quite pale silvery, dorsal fin had a blue tint to it.

Thats it i'm afraid i'm not so good at describing, should have taken a pic on phone

Ive been in the Beverley one quite recently erm the only big fish I can think of your describing is a big gold sev they have in? Or a while back they had some threadfinned acaras in but they belonged to a staff member and wernt for sale?

Nope neither of them Wills, the Threadfins had gone the big sev still there and there was this one.

Where abouts is it? They have the ellioti from the showtank in the softwater tanks (for some reason) on the right as you go in walking towards the plants? Or is it in one of the big sumps? I feel well sorry for that gold sev but its got those sooty marks on it which puts me off........though now I want it and call it sooty....

Oh no wait!! I think they have a Vjeia in? (spelling) over the far side past the plants under the general comm stuff?

Oh the Ellioti was in the 6 footer show tank when i was last there, the Sev looks like its had a battering or something poor thing.

This fish was past the showtank and plants, I think it was in one of tanks the threadfins were in, I'll go google Vjeia....

I emailed them last night and had a reply, its a Vieja Synspilum, don't think it would be any good in my tank. Shame as I was quite taken up with him
