Anybody In Ca Have Black Corys?

I have some but I haven't got babies yet--or if I did they didn't make it. Aquabid is a good place to get them. NEONCORY just got some; PM him. Frank Falcone has some and sells them on AB at times. That is where I got mine. I think Barracuda may have some. But I am the one in CA. So send good thoughts. :hey:

Morning. That's a bit on the low side in the way of an offer for that specie. Depending on size, they usually bring $15 to $25 and are generally sold in groups of 5 or 6. I'm sitting on dozens of them, in mixed sizes, but I loathe shipping fish, this time of year, especially clear across the country. With shipping costs the way they are, you'll pay more for the shipping, than the costs of 3 fish.
PM me and I'll supply you with a source who will ship to CA, bu I don't think he'll part with them for $10 each. I wouldn't. :hyper: - Frank

I wish these fish only went for 10 bucks a piece.

The price of shipping is why I have not bought any fsih online in a while. Although I need to rebuild my collection after that power outage.

I will say this though, I have gotten a lot of fish from you shipped during the summer and have never had a DOA.

The Bay Area is a very mild temperature, so they might do, but I wouldn't ship them Priority. If there is a supplier in CA then mabe he can pick them up.

Yes $10 is a steal. If I could find them for $10 and be able to pick them up I would jump in the car right now! $25 would be a reasonable price for young sexable adults. I would assume that 3 would include a female, otherwise it is chancy getting only 3 that there would be all one gender let alone that one might be lost and end with 2.

Really though, Dorkhedoes, with Corys you do them a disservice keeping them in less than 5 or 6.

I figured nickelers or quarters would go for somewhere around 10 a piece. I was planning on just raising them to breed so I would have a school that I could give away. Always nice to have good samaritans around right?

If I were breeding them, many of them would go for 10 bucks a piece, maybe 65 for 10. I guess im too generous with prices -_- I usually give stuff like nickel sized ricordea and other fish to others for free or dirt cheap. Thought it would be nice to help people out with the hobby cause I figured this hobby is already expensive enough  Guess im a fool for doing that :X Only thing I think I am charging close normal price is my $20 3" RBP, which is still about 5 bucks lower than what its supposed to go for

I guess ill just stick with saltwater for now

It is like investing in a very expensive rare imported fish. I remember when Samantha/Synirr got the wild Bettas. They were near imposible to get and she paid dearly for them--all her proceeds from her hard work with her PKs. She was very generous too, but she had to get her money back.

Frank and others have lots invested and spend more money than you know to get their fish and keep and raise them right. Frank has help that he pays to help in the fish room which I am sure costs a bit to keep running right.

I do not fault others for wanting to at least break even. They have lots invested. You are playing around.

But if I had plenty and you picked them up I would give them to you cheap. But if I have to package them, drive around on the USPS schedule and ship them and worry about it--it would take a half of my day--I would charge you.

Im not really blaming you guys. You guys probably sell more fish than I ever will, im just doing this as a hobby. I dont really plan on making a profit or even break even for the stuff I give away anyways (thinking about making a little from watermelons and alien eyes in the future because of the demand though) Sorry if i sounded like I sounded like you guys were charging too much :good:

I thought you might like to see this: These are the only blacks on AB at the moment. Look at the price! Of course these are exceptional quality. $150 for 6 ($25 apiece) plus shipping for 1.25" specimen.

6 German import Blacks
