I raise the corys and have had an opportunity to watch quite a few of them now at various ages.
It seems to me that while all corys like to spend some time playing, the young ones never want to stop. I have two tanks of young bronze corys and they are in almost constant motion. They can be resting quietly on the bottom, but as soon as I put the light on and drop some food in they start. First they eat, then zoom up and down the glass or from side to side.
A really funny thing to watch is when one of them gets the idea to dart up to the surface and grab a gulp of air. All of a sudden they all have to do it to! It's like watching someone yawn and then seeing everyone else do it too.
Corys can be really funny!
