Ive kept many African dwarf frogs in the past but they got sucked in by my filter. Im setting up a new betta tank with a sponge filter so they wont get killed by it. But,my gravels a lil small...so can they go in with any size or will they swallow to small gravel?

ADF's can be kept on any size substrate, i have kept them on sand, and gravel. smooth gravel is needed as they spend almost all the time on the floor and sharp gravel may hurt their underside. i think sand is the best substrate, followed by small smooth gravel.
i think the ADF's will be fine on your gravel, just make sure they are getting enought food and everything will be fine.

I've heard of them eating gravel, I gues rounded gravel bigger than them. Either that or sand, or both! Would look really nice if someone did that. River rocks scattered about on the sand.
