I've been doing a fishless cycling for 5 days now and haven't had a nitrite spike! The ammonia level in my tank is 4.0, is it too high? or is it just the way it should be for a 5 days period that i'm going through? Oh and do i continue with the amount of ammonia that i started with until i get a nitrite spike? or do less ammonia dropping? I have a 55 gallon tank and i am going with 5 drop per 10 gallon a day. I add in 5 drop per 10 gallons a day and was wondering if it's alrite to add another 5 drop per 10 gallons when i'm going to sleep at night? Does anyone know how long it would my tank to reach nitrite spike? Any suggestion would be a great honor.
