I have been wanting a Husky dog since i was very young, now however i am in a possition to get one :D

Am sure someone on here must own/owned 1 at some point, so looking for general poiners, both good and bad :good:

Also add your pics :fun:

i have 3,
great pets.
have a secure garden
dont let off the lead unless you have total control
keep up with grooming
intoduce to smaller animals at a young age
eats alot less then you would think.
when you find a food they like dont change it because they are very fussy eaters
some days they wont eat anything
very socialable and will become destrucktive if you dont spend enough time with them

Thanks Angelfishguy. No worries about being socialble as theres always someone at home :D

It would be a pup and my 2 cats only come inside for food anyway (there choice!) so they shouldn't be a problem don't think the fish would bother it

Are they very active dogs? (lots of walks) our previous dog was a Rough Collie so it wouldn't be a problem if they do, plus we have a relatively large garden, and a few open fields close by :good:

they dont need as much exercise as you would imagine as long as they are kept busy and in a large space.
but the bigger the walk the better :)

Trouble is, they really do need a lot! Lots of walks, not just for the exercise but to keep their minds busy, they arent the kind of dog you can take out on one or two short walks and chuck a ball about for 10 minutes in the garden.

Agility and such like will be good to keep mind busy, LOTS of socialising puppy classes. Personally not a species i would have with kids in the house and so on. They can also move #41#### fast so if you have them off the lead, you shouldnt be surprised if they end up killing squirrels/rabbits/cats etc...

Not a species for the feint hearted
