Any Hints, Tips Or Info On Platies?.

What exactly do you want to know?

what ever you think i should no, i got 5 yesterday 4 female 1 male.

OK, to start off, that's a good ratio. Now, they need a variation in food. You definetely need to feed some shelled peas and veggies every now and then to prevent bloating and constipation. To use peas, boil them for 2 minutes to soften, pop them out of the shell, and cut it up into small pieces to its easy for thtem to eat. Also try feeding them brine shimp daphnia, and stuff like that.

Then there's pregnancy. You can read about this in the FAQS at the top of the page in the stickies. There very good info there.

im not sure if there preggers yet im keeping a close eye on them tho!, The male seems to be swiming round alot tonight, dont no if hes after the girls or what, if they have fry is it safe to leave them in the same tank as i only have the 5 platies in there?.

Males are mating machines, so most likely he is.

It's okay to leave the fry in there, however most may not survive seeing as it's a small tank and you have lots of Platies in there.

Edit: I made a more extensive reply to your other post. :)
