Anubias

I keep hearing you should not bury the rhyzome of an anubias.

How is best to plant them in your tank.

position it so the roots are in the sybstrate and the rhizome sits on it, this may take a bit to get rooted if your fish keep pulling it up. Or you can tie it onto an object with cotton or fishing line.

Your right you should not bury the rhyzome of an anubias as it will rot the rhyzome, you need to attach it to rocks or wood using cotton or fishing line, or you can trap it between small rocks and slate, after time it will attach itself to what ever you decide to use.

I get a peice of flat slate and tie it to that, then put it on the sand and push the sand over the slate.

So you cant see the slate, the roots are just under the substrate and the rhizome is not burried.

Ill fishing line it to some wood i have.

Am i right the roots will aim down if its mounted at height and string downwards?

Over the top of the rhizome? You are effectivly burrying it if u do that, imo.

keep the rhizome showing as much as possible if you co that way.
