I used interpet antifungal treatment in my fishtank as I noticed a small amount of cottonwool type fungus on my pearl gourami and the fins of another looked as if it had the begining of finrot.
I am pretty sure I followed the instructions to the letter and have used this before when I had a small outbreak of finrot 6 months ago. However I didnt have a Pictus catfish and an orange spot gibbicep catfish then and the finrot was dealt with as expected.
Overnight after the same treatment both catfish died but none of the other fish have and they all look healthy and it looks as if the gourami's are recovering allready as well fortunately.
Has anyone else found that their catfish or any other type of fish have had a severe reaction or died after this type of treatment? Do you think it is coincidence or bad luck or will I have to remove the catfish to a temporary home if I need to treat the tank again?
Any help is much apreciated.
