Anti Crustacean Parasite

Hello,

Brought a new discus a couple of weeks ago, and she has a white dot on her tail, at first thought it could be a bit of fungus but looking at it it could be a parasite, i've brought some interpet anti crustacean parasite and wondering what the best way to treat would be? i'm not 100% sure what it is but if this stuff wont harm my fish then i'm willing to give it a go, but i don't want to dose my whole tank as ive read its bad for plants and filters, does this stuff work quickly? like could i put her in a bucket dose it and it would work within a few hours? directions arn't too specific.

Can you set up a hospital tank? If not you mind find it beneficial to treat your whole tank any way because she could have passed it on. Does it say on the bottle it'll harm your filter?

I wouldn't do the bucket thing lol.

Up the temp to 31/32c .. Lots of WC.. And wait..,

If u see if that white spot getting bigger or spreading.. Come back here.... u should avoid meds unless u know what you are doing...

Infact...

My oldest discus developed a white spot in the tail and it become a hole.. Hole got larger and spilt the tail in messy way.. All I did was keep the temp up and kept the water clean as possible and oh yes... good food. kept close eye for any infections at the same time. It Took almost a month for the tail to grow back. my discus is back in the runway now.. . I do have videos of the ful story in the YouTube.

thanks for replies, didnt dose my tank cos its bad for plants and media possibly my shrimp too, quarantined her with the meds see what happens will do a full on dose if it doesnt go away. If i have too will remove it manually did take her out to have a good look still not certain, will keep a close eye on the others have space fora full quarantine med session if i have too. Whatever it is isnt bothering her so happy to wait and see what happens over next few days.
