Hi all,

I purchased this cory quite a while ago from a "Peppered Cory" tank at the pet shop - however it does not look like a Peppered Cory. It has spots like a Leopard cory according to planet catfish, but has a different looking head to the pictures at planet catfish.

[POST EDITED] I have since found a few more pictures of Leopard Catfish's, and am pretty certain that this is one. I'll have to find another one.

hi just been looking on corycat.com & the closest 1 i could find is this 1

is that the 1???

Hi kmaisch :)

If you call your fish a Leopard cory you could cause some confusion. It's not a common name for this little fellow. Yours looks like the cory that is often called a julli cory in the stores, but is not. You might want to look in tanks for them under that name.

Here's another link that explains the difference:

I've got a trio of them myself. They're active little guys. I plan to buy a few more once I get my new 55g tank. :D

yep. its a Corydoras trilineatus... commonly incorrectly called a Julii

we bought 6 today.

the Julii have dots on their head rather than the squiggles - and the line down them is shorter.

ahh, excellent - thanks for that.

Cheers,
Kim
