Another Question?

Not so sure, but you might be beter off directing specific questions to specific sections of the forum. They guys an girls over in the Cyprinids, Characins and Atherinids section might be able to give better advice :)

how young is young, what "adult tank" with what fish?

tb's are fast and tough so should be able to go in with most fish around the size of a dime or nickel

Well, they're pretty small, I just got them the other day. The "adult tank" contains 3 tiger barbs, 2 cory catfish, 1 rainbow shark, and 1 cae. They are almost all full-grown.

well you still haven't told us the size of the tank...cory cats should be in schools of 5 or more just for your inforomation....and rainbow sharks and chinese algae eaters are both known to get very nasty as they get older....anyhow, they should be fine to add now

The size of the tank I want to add them to is a 28 gallon.

they should be fine adding right away...when i kept tiger barbs last, i had 2 from an old tank that were over two years old....i added 4 juveniles and there were no aggression issues and everyone lived fine together...

if i were you i would also add 2 or 3 cory cats while you are at it..

this tank is cycled, right?

if you're not sure of what i mean, read some of the articles here and you will learn a lot about successful fishkeeping

EDIT: for some reason i thought you were only adding 4 or 5 TB's...um, 10 adults in a 28 gallon will really be pushing it...IMO 10 need at least a 55 gallon tank...

if i were you i would trade in 3 baby TB's (explain to the store WHY you are doing it) - your tank will be severly overstocked quick with the current fish you have in it - and get 2 more cory cats....that gives you 7 TB's (which is still a lot), and 4 coies...you can figure out what you'll do with the CAE when he gets aggressive and the rainbow shark IF he gets mean (which may or may not happen)

sorry for the long-winded post, do with it what you will
