Greetings. In a shipment from Peru, I was fortunate to receive 12 of a new unidentified Corydoras species. It appears to be a C. aeneus type. It is a stunning little bugger. This appears to be the first importation of this specie into the U.S.. As soon as they get settled in, I will take some pics.

I just find it amazing that they keep discovering new fish. Then again, if you take a good look at a map of the river systems of S. America, you wonder how they don't find a new one every day. :) - Frank

Sounds Great. You must have your hands full at the moment, with all these new cories coming in as well as taking care of all your recent spawns.

Looking forward to some top quality photos from you, the least i expect :p

Frank when we can see your new fish? 8) :/ :sly:
Hi. They're still getting settled in. There is a fair amount of variation between each specimen, especially as it relates to size. Two of the fish are quite large and at first observation I would definitely put them in the C. aeneus variant category. Be forewarned. They are not a "flashy" fish. Just different. But, again, they still need to get acclimated and get a few feedings of live blackworms in them.

Pics. Well, I'm off to Deborah for my 3 month post-op evaluation, tomorrow (YAY!) and that will be an all day affair. Got someone coming early Friday to pick up fish. That'll turn into a half-day affair. Would hope to be shooting by Saturday. Got some very nice C052's and C. stenocephalus, also. They colored up immediately. Will shoot them, too.

The latest batch of C. weitzmani were spectacular. Large and vibrantly colored. No pics needed. The few C. teniente were medium sized and in good health. All in all, a pretty good batch of Corys.

Top that off with 29 beautiful, viable C. duplicareus eggs, this morning, lots of C. weitzmani wigglers - and all is well in the fish room. :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: - Frank

P.S. Now, if I just could get some mojo from my Zebra pl*cos, all would be perfect.

talking of new corys
coryologist have you heard of cory cureo?

ahhhh come on! what happened? :/ Even I, who only have brochis, was interested in seeing these!

Ok, Frank, you must check in. We worry. Was your meeting a good one? We don't want to send the Cory keeper search team after you.

I fear it's too late... he may have contracted cory-itus, in which a man suddenly believe's he is a cory, goes to their native lands, and tries to go into the water and live peacably with the cories, but becomes emotionally depressed when they don't end up schooling with him....

such a sad disease
