I have a fluval 306 external filter on my Roma 240 litre tank - as you are probably aware it has two outlet pipes with swivle nozzles to direct flow.
I want to get an African or Asian filter shrimp so intend to direct one of the nozzles down into the water towards a platform so it has a strong current to feed. This will leave one nozzle pointed at the water surface causing agitation. Will this be enough for dispersing oxygen around the tank or am I likely to cause problems?
I also have an airstone running but know this does little to help oxygen circulation.
as a further question would anyone know why after I do a water change (about 25-30% weekly) the fish all seen to go to the surface for about the next hour?
all my water parameters are fine.
Thankyou again for any advice ( I will get the hang of this eventually!)
