I have had abit of a brown hairy algae problem and found my phosphates are high, so i brought some elimi-phos, it say`s to add it gradually and i need 4 sachets. I am running a fluval 4 on my tank and by the time i have four in the filter i will have no room for media. Is it ok to have no media in there only the sachets? It is looking alittle "dusty" I guess because the stuff is working and killing of the brown algae. But should i run another filter in the tank? I have a fluval 1 or an interpet 3? Would the flow be too fast for the fish i have in the tank if i ran two filters? I have shrimp, coryies, knifefish, gobies, catfish (forget the name) and a koi ( saved from being eaten in the pond, but going back as soon as he is big enough)
