HI all,

Well i just received another filter from the local fish store. Its called the duetto 100. Ive never heard or seen it until yesterday.
It only filters up to 20g's, but im putting it in my 30 g tank anyway being as it is already occupied with two other filters(external) 1 for 30 g's, the other for 50g's. Hows that for water flow?
This new filter is fully submersable and it came with the silliest directions. I say that because they were more specific and clearer about directions when they wrote them in spanish :dunno: . (Made in America ;) )
So my question is if anyone has prior experience with this kind of submersable filter, how sufficient is it? Is it reliable and does it last a long time? I need to do research on it and would like to hear input before i use it. Thanks guys.

IMO, submersible filters are good for small tanks as they provide very little room for media. usually, you can just put a sponge in there. they can clog up quite fast as well if you have lots of waste floating around (dead plants, left over food, ...)

if you just want to add waterflow, just remove the sponge and use the filter as a powerhead.
