Annoyed With Pets At Home.. Advice Please.

Well unfortunately they're my only fish source for miles! Bottom line Is I feel stupid for believing them knowing what I know now! Lesson learnt.

You aren't the first, nor will you be the last to learn that lesson.

I must stick up for my local PETS AT HOME, they are really good they have 3 members of staff  who are really knowledgeable know about cycling etc are happy to chat and offer advice. I normally look for them when I go in. Other staff members when on aquatics will often say I will go and ask such and such.

I have never had any problems with them I must be lucky.

And I have no affiliation or connection to them or anyone working there.

yep reading back does sound funny - just didn't want people to think I was an employee (they would never employ me!), my local store is good though a minority by the sounds of it

If your happy with your fish store then that's all that matters really, mine is fantastic but a little pricey but that's due to the area I live.

Living in North London (UK) my nearest store is Pets at Home, I have to say that I've never had any problems with them. Admittedly there are a couple of staff who have a limited knowledge but they always ask other members of staff when confronted with something they don't know.
There are people who work there and have reasonable knowledge.
I've never had a problem with them, but granted I haven't had your problem.

All I can say is if they have made a mistake (which it appears they have) contact them and make them aware. I'm sure the staff member didn't do it on purpose.

Well I took him back this Eve! Bit sad wanted to keep him realy. The guy who sold me him said let's have another look, then replied Yea he is male isn't he! Iv no more to say on it really they were super nice gave me back my money and 5 pounds in store credit! Was sad to see him go they placed him in the tank and whilst I picked out the other male in the female tank the woman left the Hood open and he jumped out and landed straight at my feet! Managed to pop him back in! Just like to think he wanted to come back with me lol.

Baha yeah the female bettas are a pain! You have to quickly open the lid and throw the food in and close it again. When I do the siphoning I have to hold my hand over them and you can feel them jump and hit my hand. Irritating especially if catching a fish next door for a customer and you've got bettas flopping everywhere :(

Ha I bet, it was real difficult trying to scoop him back up! must say my females make the odd splash but Iv not had that trouble with them!! Hope I don't speak too soon!
