Would angels be okay with firemouths and turquoise cichlids and stuff like that??

No, they do ok with small cichlids like apistogramma and Rams, and the larger tetras are good too. No aggressive mid sized cichlids need apply.

I've had angels and firemouths in a tank for about 2 months now no problems......will problems arise?

The firemouths get large and aggressive. Angels try to stand up for themselves but they've got all that girly finnage flowing all around. It would be like a pub bouncer fighting a ballet dancer.

You are so right Cian. I wish I had never bought the first angel fish. They are so hard to deal with when they get bigger. I would say no a hundred times..

I don't mean to hijack this post but I have got some firemouths with my angels in a 75g. The firemouths are less than an inch long and have been in the tank for 3 weeks. Since i added the firemouths they haven't bothered the angels at all in fact the angels do most of the bullying in my tank. Should I remove the firemouths or angels even if i have had no problems with either species?

Sev......The firemouths are just babies,wait 'till they grow up and you will see their role reversals.
It might become hell and the angels won't stand a chance

Thanks for the advise I'll come up with something to do with them. I don't know which to get rid of I mean I guess it doesn't matter considering you can find both species in just about any petstore and it isn't like either are expensive.

You have to be careful with this mix its possible for it to work but you need to be prepared for the worst. I have two angels (5 inches) in a 100 gallon with 4 full grown 6" convicts and a redhead cichlid. They do rather well toghether. I have other tanks and the ability to move angels to another location if it didn't work out though!

I have another two angels ( 5 inches ) in a 55 gallon with an adult firemouth. The firemouth has nothing to do with the angels. The festivums give my angels more trouble, do no harm just a good chase now and then.

The larger your tank the better possibilty of it working, but again you need to be prepared for the worst and the ability to remedy the situation.

Firemouths aren't aggressive, they're all show and no fight Although the show may scare angels to death

I would say firemouths are not aggresive, but can hold their own when needed. I have had firemouths go up against mating convicts and do quite well for themselves. The convicts would back down. The firemouths proved to be their equal.
