Angels in a 45 gallon tank

I am soon getting a 45 gallon tank and want angelfish. I want the tank to be built around them, so how many can I COMFORTABLY have in my tank? I would like to also have a small peaceful school of sorts. Also I would like to know the same thing in a 36 gallon bowfront. Thanks!

4 max....but that would be without any other fish in the tank

Are you sure? I make that 123 gallons (U.S.) before you add substrate or allow an air gap.

Those numbers seemed familiarly odd, so I checked and you have an older thread about this. The dimensions were corrected in that thread to:

Yep sorry correct measurements are 36 12 23 and thats inches.​

We mentioned in that thread that this tank is not sufficient space for angelfish. That has not changed.
