Angels and Cherry Barbs

I wish I could find where I was reading the other day, but it said that the cherry barbs are not as fin nippy as other barbs...true or false? I would love to get some, but a pair of Angels in my tank might not appreciate it...

In my experience with them they are not nippy at all. I have mine with angels and they get along fine

ours wouldn't say boo to a goose.

they are really chilled out.

No the barbs wont nip the angels but the angels will eat the barbs when they get big enough

I've kept cherry barbs in the past and found them to be very peaceful I've also kept tiger barbs with 2 large angels and found the tigers just steered clear of the angels and were streetwise enough to avoid confrontation with them.Plucky little blighters those tiger barbs B) However,I did once buy 6 very small black ruby barbs and only 2 of them survived being in with the angels.I think with any small fish and large angels you have got to be careful,plenty of plant cover should help.
