Hello, I'll only have this angelfish for another day and I'd like to have it identified. I looked on the internet at numerous pictures and couldn't find any type of angelfish that quite matched what this one looks like. Take a look:

I'm sorry for the picture quality. It's really blurry, but I was trying not to scare her while I took the picture. Hopefully you can see the basic colors. If not, she's has almost completely translucent fins, an almost see-through body, and a patch of yellow and red on her face. She also has a patch of very shiny pearl color scales where her organs are.

It's a very bizarre combination but also very elegant, and I was curious if anyone knew what type this is. I haven't been able to match it.

Thank you,
Synaesthesia

Hi, very pretty angel, looks to be a Paraiba (platinum with blushing) but as there seems to be a dark patch it is most likely to be Marble Paraiba.
Lisa.

that fish is neither a Paraiba nor a Platinum...the red gill and the clear/see-through fins indicate it has a double dose of the stripeless gene, making it a Blushing Angel or a variation thereof (i.e. Koi type).

sorry for the bad news in case you were planning to sell the fish...still a beautiful angel though :good:

Paraiba is a blushing Platinum (S/S - pb/pb). But you are correct in saying that the angel could be a type of Koi, would only be able to tell by growing on the fish or getting details of the parents.

i know what a paraiba is, my point is it's not a fish you get by mistake or by chance, so the fact that the OP is asking what type of fish it is, indicates he didnt pay premium for a Paraiba, hence it's not a paraiba...does that make sense?
