Angelfish surprise

What I thought were two female platinums are now fighting over this blue girl… who I thought was a blue boy. I’m 90% sure she’s a girl as she is the only other angel that is following them around and observing them closely. Excuse the mess, I was mid water change when I observed the behavior and started taking photos.

Just an fyi: when a female picks a male; she will often test his suitability by locking lip with him to see how strong he is....

The platinums have dropped tubes that are the same

My guess is that the two locking lips are the pair, and the other fish is just an excited female getting in the way.
