Evening y'all just wondering out of curiosity what other foods can be given to angelfish. I currently feed them tropical flake food and occasionally bloodworms which they go crazy for  I am new to keeping angelfish could anyone give me some hints and tips on how to keep them?

Cheers cockers

1.Make sure your tank is tall enough to accomodate them
2.Keep the with suitable fish e.g. not with aggressive fish like tiger barbs or fish that are too small like ember tetras

Mine eat anything. I do flake, a variety of cichlid foods, frozen bloodworms, frozen brine and they even pick at the zucchini that I put in the tank for the bristlenose pleco. I just think variety is the way to go. And the above post is correct, they need room and a tall tank. While they can be pretty easy going when they are young, once paired they can get quite aggressive especially with their own kind. My advice is one pair in a minimum of a 30 gallon tall tank and not more than one pair in anything less than 70 gallon. I think lots of beginners get too many of them to start and as they grow up they get very aggressive. At least it is my experience.

Thanks for the replies the tank I have is quite tall so that is all good and I only have 2 angelfish at the minute. Should you only ever keep these fish in pairs?
