Now I know it would be extremely rare for angelfish to be successful with breeding in a community tank, but I would like to hear from others.
I have a pair who have laid eggs five times now. They will lay them in the day, and fan and guard the eggs constantly. However as soon as the lights go out in the tank they eat the eggs. Does anyone know why they would do this? I am not bothered but just curious and interested in their behaviour.

maybe you could try putting some plastic mesh over the eggs so they can fan them and take care of them but not eat the eggs
