in my tropical community tank, is is possible for me to have just 1 angelfish, coz someone told me that if you have 2 , 1 will get picken on so its best to have 3 but seen as i dont have enough space for 3- its a 15gal tank

One angel will be fine as long as the water depth is at least 16" for standard fins, and 18" for veils. Bare tanks are best in this size for angels, no substrate. You might be able to keep a small group of corys with the single angel in that size tank, but that is sort of pushing it.

Aside from what Tolak said, the part about 2 vs 3 is a bit off. If you have 3, and if two of them form a pair, the third will get picked on, potentially to the point of death if it isn't separated.

Seconded, I've just rehomed one that had that issue.

How tall is the tank though? I'm not aware of many 15G tanks that are 16"+ tall.
