When I first introduced the 5 youngsters the large one did chase them a little but 2 days later they were all absolutely fine and there were no injuries or hiding at all. I may have been lucky but I did have my old tank incase of any problems, I did move the tank about a fair bit aswell, it was new, and I just have to fiddle!!!

Very nice Everyone! Glad everything worked out for you Tina. The 3rd photo/angel is gorgeous!

thanks, I had to stop myself buying another two veil tails yesterday but since I have two pair of discus coming I better not. worst thing was her breeding tube was out, was so tempted

What is the minimum size tank required for Angel Fish? Mine is 110L (80x35x50cm) would this be suitable for one and are they ok to keep by themselves?

That tank will work for an angel, as long as the 50cm is the water depth.

Silver veil, pretty close to being a super;

Fry close up, I'm guessing just hitting 3 weeks old;

Koi, another close to being a super;

I've got a lot on another drive that I need to get running, whenever I get around to that project.

Just measured the actual water depth and thats 35cm, and would have no problems increasing that to 40cm, but I take it that will be too shallow?

He sure was, quite some time ago. I'm about 4 generations down from him with my silvers ATM, here's a pic of one of his first spawns;

Nice looking angels everyone :)

Very nice you guys. His mate was a silver too, Tolak?
Congrats on the spawn Phage!

krib, which ones the male lol, i have no idea!
how do you tell the sex of an angel?
the head shape deters the male from thier women they have a bump upon it wheras a fem-fish will have a smooth head

This, along with several other attributes, including behavior, will give you about 80% accuracy. straight guessing is 50%, so it isn't a real big advantage.
