Hi,
I have an Angel fish that is not eating. He doesnt eat anything and is painfully thin now. Its been just over a month and i have not seen him eat anything. He is not interested in the food put in the tank at all.
He is in a 240L tank with 3 other angels 4 keyholes and a pleco. The water temp is 28 the pH is 7.5-8 and all other conditions are within normal range. All other fish are fine and eating well. I have tried treatment for internal parasites, a general tonic, and a treatment for worms. I just cant figure out what is wrong with him.
Any help/ideas much appreciated.
Thanks!

Yeah I was gona say try bloodworm..Mine love that..Sorry I cant really help you maybe one of the fishy experts with be able to give you advice.. :good: Hope you can get him to eat.. xx

The ph is very high for an angel set up - they prefer acidic water. I dont think that'll be the cause of the problem, but it's worth knowing ;)

I had one very skinny angel out of my gang, and he didn't grow at all for 6 months - his "brother" is my biggest angel and dwarfed him, since removing his brother to another tank, he's now taken over as boss - found a mate, and started growing. Dont suppose he's being bullied at all?

Which specific meds did you use? This sounds like an internal parasite problem, a month without eating is pretty severe for a healthy fish, real rough on a sick one.

Though an old topic but it maybe worth concluding.

Iv had a similar problem with one of mine who died after, but didnt last a month with no food, this was a a space of a few days....I wonder why a month?
