Rest in peace Bob. So sorry. His poor mate. So sad.
Thanks for the update.

Update:  the eye has now got a complete covering of new flesh where the eye was. What is left of the eye still moves freely and there is no sign of any infection. He is only eating a small amount. He does keep listing to one side, but I am not too sure if he is just looking at himself in the bottom glass because he only leans on his good eye side, which is worrying in case he is getting depressed being on his own.

Bless him. Glad to hear everything going OK.
Fish can list to onside when they have an eye missing.

New problem :(

The missing eye healed over really nicely, with the exception of a tiny white dot in the middle, this white dot has grown considerably and is now red and very inflamed, I have tried esha but I have a feeling it is a tumour. Just want to check if there could be any other eye infection that could cause a growth before I put him down.

Does the red dot look like blood sac or spot?
How is the fish?

it was a tumour, I had no choice but to put him down. It had spread into his mouth and he couldnt eat :( poor chap.
