What size tank is ideal for a Angelfish? I read minumium was 15 but that cant be right because they get as big as 6 inches so i was wondering what do you think would be a good size tank for an angelfish

Generally 29 is the minimum size. Height is more important than length for them, they need a tank at least 18 inches tall (more for Altum angels if you're lucky enough to find some), and 29 is the first standard size tank that's 18 inches tall. There's some oddly shaped tanks in the 20-30 range of the same height.

I wouldn't suggest anything smaller than a 29 for the beginning aquarist, you could keep a breeding pair in there with a few other small fish. A bare bottom 20 high works well for standard fin angels, once again, a pair max, no other fish.

a 15 high can be used for a pair if you really keep an eye on water parameters, and have the means to cycle pairs after a while, letting the pair have some time off in a larger tank.
