just wondering what the minimum tank size for angel fish is??

cheers

10g much too small. the taller the tank is the better. Think it should be a minimum of 18" tall as angels get quite large.

you beat me too it phoenix

cheers just right for my 20 then :D

would the go alright with a quite big plec

hehe and i agree, if they are young they need to be in groups of 6+ i think because of bulling
but im not 100% sure

is it going in your 120 litre
god no thats way too stocked plus i dont think they would get on with some of my other fish, i have a 20 gal upstairs theyll be going into

whats wrong with my 120 i can assure all my fish live in peace with each other

dnt mean to be a b**ch but.....

120 litres is about 32 gallons.

clown loaches should be in groups of 4 or 5 minimum as there incredibly social fish.

they also grow to 8 or 9 inches so grow too big for your tank.

the common plecs can grow to nearly 2ft given the right conditions and time. this is rare tho but 1ft+ definately isnt so again there too big.

theyll also produce alot of waste so you need a good filter.

if you havent seen much growth in them yet its because theyll be getting stunted due to the fact they only grow as big as there environment. thats not good for them.

bettas really dont mix with fin nippers like tiger barbs either. they cant move fast enough.

The RTBS could probably do with a bigger tank cos of how active they are.

take a look at some profiles in the fish index. most have a minimum tank size.

my clown loaches are still small i have a bigger tank comming for them in a couple of months (then they will get more friends) the common plec will go in there two

im just waiting for the next fish auction to get a couple of heaters and filters then the fighter will have his own 5 gallon tank

i do two water changes a week which clean up after my plec

the tiger barbs only fin nip them selves plus ive only ever had 1 case of fin rot

and th rtbs will also be going in a bigger tank (he was a rescue it was either my tank or the toilet so i really think hes better off where he is

consedering that i would say they are fine for a while then as you have tryed your best,
similar to my 4.5 which is 'overstocked' but my fish are young'ns at the moment and im geting a new 33 gal tank in two months when my exams are over
