afternoon all, i know this is my first post and ive been caught out big style.

two of my angels have spawned and im totally stumped. this hs caught me totally off guard s they have not spawned before to my knowledge.

ive made a temporary fry trap (until i can buy a proper one on monday) thing from some fine mesh so that nothing can get to the eggs - i dont trust my polypterus not to eat them all during the night. the parents have been very good at keeping everyone else away up until now.

whats got my worried now is that the eggs started off a pale clear colour but some have gone a milky colour, is this good? or is it a sign theyve died and are rotting?

any help much appreciated !

cheers

lee

i had a fry net and let the eggs hatch the parents were in the same tank and they managed to suck all the fry through the mesh

as it is there first time they are not always going to get it right as you have said the eggs are a milky colour they are infertile and will not hatch but they learn how to get it right and should produce good spawns

so milky means infertile?

at first only one of the eggs was milky but a lot more have changed overnight.
