Angel Fish Sore With Worm Like Growth

Hi All,
One of my angels has a strange type of worm coming out of a sore part of the fish?? Its eating an fully active any idea has to what it is and how to treat??

I cannot tell 100% from the picture. Does the worm have a forked tail? if so its an anchor worm. I have never had to treat for this but found some information you may find useful..

Ummm, its now dropped off..

hhmmm ok about how long was it attached for? they are suppose to drop off and die once they have laid their eggs, but that takes quite a while.
 
Do a large water change giving the gravel a really good vaccing, How bad does the wound look? if it is very red and inflamed it would be worth treating with an antibacterial medication.
