Ive had 2 Angel fish for a good year now, theyre very settled & regularly the female sprays eggs up the side of the filter for the male to presumably fertilize them, now ive been given advice to scrape off the fertilized eggs & put into a separationn within the existing tank....

having done this on numerous occasions also with feeding the spawn with Liquifry No 1... every single time ive failed with the batch...

Anything i can do to ensure they hatch??? & how log am i looking at for them to hatch?!?!

Thanks...

Try putting some removable tall objects in the tank, especially in front of or near the filter. Tall silk or plastic plants work for a decorated tank, I use lengths of pvc pipe in pair tanks.

To have any success with raising fry you have to have live baby brine shrimp for at least the first two weeks. This is a good site for info on hatching as well as supplies; http://www.brineshrimpdirect.com/

It isn't that difficult to hatch bbs daily, a cut off 2 liter bottle, air supply, and light source is all that is needed.

Whoever told you to scrape the eggs off is probably more familiar with breeding corys, this is a common cory trick that doesn't work as well with angels.

Any more questions pm me or post a topic & bring it to my attention.
