Angel Fish Breeding

Hi all,
I keep angel fish for couple of years and they are my favorite fish so i wanted to start to breed them, Couple of months earlier i get one pair and move them in saperated aquarium, prepare it and they start to sprown. But than my problems start, they sprown a lot of time but i couldnt hatch any for now.
After they sprown i move eggs to separate aquarium, same temperature and same parametarss. After 3 days they hatch but they all die same or next, 4. day. Never survive to 5. day to start to swim and to start to eat.
So every time same problems and i dont know what to do.
Can anyone help me with my problems, anyone who breed them ?? I dont know what more to do with them.

OK, options. Angelfish are quite capable parents sometimes and can raise spawns. The farm bred ones tend to be less so, but it's always worth giving them a go in subdued conditions to see if they do a good job. Many of the farm bred ones seem to get peckish and eat the eggs but some do a good job of fanning their eggs to keep the flow going and pick of anything that looks like fungus may be taking hold.
 
If you've got a pair that eat the eggs, then you are doing the right thing in removing them. They do need a gentle flow though, as they're prone to fungus otherwise. Commercially, and in many hobby systems they use antifungals in the egg tanks and it's not unusual to see a line of green tanks with airstones bubbling away.

hello i breed angel fish. i had some hach 2 days ago .  ive found that the first few times they eat there young after they hatch but then they actully try to raise there young and they do this for just over a day and then they eat them. after they hach i use a huge dropper and i remove the babies and put them in a smaller tank that is well airratted and has a undergravel filter . it is best to feed liquid food 2-3 times a day in the recomended amount for the first 2-3 weeks then move them onto a fine powder food. the tank tempratures can only vary by less than one degree. it is best that they are kept in a small tank as they feed better.

Understand it but i have other problem, when they hatch they die same or next day. They dont get old enough to start to swim. I dont know is my water parametars wrong or something other but only have problems with them, all hatch and die same or next day.

can u post a pic  of ur tank that u put the babies into with all the thank info such as the temprature , size , filtration, airation, every thing

Of course but tommorrow if that is not a prob and temperature is 28C, spong filter, and when i put eggs i add metilen blue . The tank is 10 L.

is the filter air driven? do u airate the eggs constantly. egg layers are harder than one thinks but ill try mu best to help u save them

Yesthe filter is air drive and i put air stone under eggs so they are always airate. Problem is also 50% of eggs go white and dont hatch but others who hatch die. I successfirst time but after that same problems over and over, all die dont live enough to start to eat. What are best water parametars for hatching them?? in what parametars aduls angelfish  need to be in breeding aquarium ?? How much is that important ??

ok the white eggs are dead this is y i leave the eggs with the parents as they prevent this from happening. also the male is constantly fertalising the eggs they hatch then i remove the fry. in the first 2-3 days they feed off there egg yolk

they get white when i leave them with parents, i try both ways and with 2 couples and always same, 50% hatch and die same or next day. These only happen with angel fish, other fish hatch normal and dont have any problems with them.

I have spawned many fish only raised Cory cats and bettas to adult hood. But I tried and did breed and spawn angels I had a great pair. I learned how not to raise them so this time I will be ready.

Personally the best thing to do is set up a spawning tank. Mine spawned in a 10gal tank I removed dad when mom stared getting mad at him. I left mom with the fry. A good angel mom is amazing. I watched mine collect all the fry and put them in the corner when lights went off. I think fish are best raised by parents. My betta fry were left with the father until the fry stared moving around too much it caused stress to the dad. Betta dads are controle freaks they stayed with dad for 4 days. Not all angel fish moms are as motherly as mine. But if you do have a good motherly angel keep her with the fry and try not to bother them much.

Bbs baby brine shrimp LIVE is a must have when raising fry. Also I used vinegar eel as the food for the first 3 days when bbs was too big. Not giving the right food will kill babies off fast. Live food is the only way to go. I lost my angel fry due to lack of food I am sure of it.
Filters...... You need a mature sponge filter for the fry / spawn tank. Do not forget water changes. The more you feed the more wc you need.
Rasing fish is not easy it takes more time then most people think. It sure is lots of fun and very rewarding .
