@Andy, any fish shop that tells you stocking 3 Discus in a 180L tank does not deserve to ever be visited again, thats appalling advice! I have a 280L and would LOVE discus in it, but i wouldnt even put 1 in it as Discus can grow to be huge. I've seen specimens that are bigger than your average males hand, and thats including the fingers and thumbs out stretched.

Now in a 180L you can get a nice little community going, with some decent sized fish, such as bristlnose's which rarely exceed 6 inches. I had a mammoth 8" male, but i think he was more a giant amongst the bristle community. You'd do well to heed the advice on here rather than those in certain shops you've visitied recently though. Only one wharf aquatics i know of, in Leicestershire, never been but heard amazing things about it so i would assume this advice on Discus has NOT come from them lol

No no the advice wasn't from one of the wharf aquatics it was somewhere else not where I would buy one from anyway lol
