I think it's a good idea to start with a few corals and then move on to an anemone as far as care and experience go.

I just think it would be good experience for him to start with something along the lines of caring for an anemone. Some of the care and requirements for an anemone could be found with Euphyllia. You may even find you enjoy the coral better.
