Anemone In Fowlr

Me, I would stock with a puffer maybe or various butterfly's. A lion would be no1 on my list (not if a puffer is in OFC)

A comet betta would be a biggy for me as would some of the less safe wrasse, maybe a scorpion or a bat fish.
Mate your options are massive.

Hang on!!! Octopus tank !!!!!

hahah i see an octopus for sale in MA think it was near swallowfield or summit for like £45, as for having an anemone, im new to salty but with my freshwater set up i was a huge fan ( and with good results ) of taking an existing filter systems and sticking them into a new tank and stocking instantly. I done this with 10 discuss which dont tolerate poor water or new systems. lots of people advise against it, but to me its just logic the LR filters your water, so if the LR has been established for a few years then i would do it.

i would take the anemone and try it, im sure your knowlegable enough to tell if its not working out and remove it/take it back.

Why are you running for cover? So my journals lack spam & tend to be boring, that doesnt bother me. :) To each his own. I like Sorgan's thoughts. If it's a FOWLR, by George! Make it an interesting one with stocking options that are not open to us reefers or nano keepers. Then you'll have something unique.

Also just to but in don't you plan to keep a trigger as theyre quite nippy arnt they?

Lljdma06 he was saying freshwater tanks are boring (I disagree there tho)

Well I think Octopus is out, my wife vetoed the Eel due to the risk of it migrating out of the tank. I'm sure Octopus are a laugh a minute, from squidgy unmoving mass in the corner of the tank to halfway down the garden taking the lawnmower apart in seconds.
Puffers worry me, the whole thought of a little nitrate grenade floating round the tank, a Betta is possible but they are quite pricey, I also looked at big Wrasse, was going to order a Lunar Wrasse but having researched it I decided not, it seems to bully everything even Tangs and Angels. Bat fish I think would be too big for a 5ft. As for the Scorpionfish family, lions are out but the tank could do with something ugly in it.
In addition to the reflection of the owner that is.
Next in was going to be a Raccoon butterfly and a Cuban Hogfish. Picking up a Vampire Tang this weekend. I have gone for interesting fish so I am already limited with relatively small Filefish and Anthias in the tank. I may still go with a dwarf Lionfish next year though. I have had lots I have considered and decided against - Lookdown Fish, Moorish Idols and Copperband based on their poor survival rate, certain wrasses and triggers due to aggression and others due to ridiculous prices.

:good: Well the analogy popped into my head and I just had to use it  , but I don't really think that. As you know I kept Malawis and had a journal about it without any spam

wow!!! just done some research on ocoptuses, apparently a 3 feet wide octopus can get through a hole the size of bottle neck, and the dwarf octopuses can basically get though any hole, they would be amazing but as its near impossible that you could actually keep it in the tank i guess its a no no.
