just one more question would it be good to lower the water level a bit or not??

thanx
I read a post somewhere on here recently that made me lower my water levels in my breeding bnose tanks

someone posted that their 6inch BNs often shoot up to the top to gulp air and one of them crashed its head on the glass and died because the water level was too high!

ah.. it might have been a post by me about minimum tank heights for plecs...
My parents lost their common by hitting the glass.

If there is not a lot of clearence between the water and any obstructions in the hood then it might be a good idea as most plecs and corries will dart to the surface for air.

If you do - you might want to get some 2" black insulation tape from a hardware store and run ir round the top of the tank to hide the water line ;)

hi

wen they do breed will the male stay with the eggs and babys all the time or will he leave for food or anythink??

thanx lot

the first few times he may get it wrong - but he should stay with the egg from the moment they are layed and then until they are big enough to get by by themselves.

he wont eat so make sure you feed him up to keep his strength.
