Hi all,

I am having a big time problem with my anemone....it just doesn't wanna anchor anywhere! It may look like it found a place it like, but the next morning you see it being crush under the rock, almost killing itself....then you pluck it out and wonder where to put it....
can anyone help me???

Anemones are difficult like that. You pretty much have to leave it alone till it finds a spot it likes.

They like a certain amount of light, flow, and water quality.

GL is right, its not anchoring itself because it doesnt like the area of the tank it is in. It will remain Un-anchored until its swept into an area where the conditions suit it more (which in a tank could be difficult)

If it doesen't attach after a while it could simply mean he is unhappy, either because of lightning, water conditions, etc... you need to find out what.

Unless you've recently put it in, but they usually settle after a few weeks.

my anenome(had to give it away eventualy tho) just wouldnt find a place to stay and alot of places had to much movment for it. one day i put a big shell spaced a little aways from a rock and the anenome went to there and finaly settled down.

I have 2 a condi. and a curly the condi moves about once every few weeks and seems to be happy with each move I think he is just a wanderer the curly moved twice in the first week I don't know where the second move was to, because I haven't seen him since. but I have lots of hideing places so I don't think he died or got eaten.

why not just let him find a spot he likes then take the peice of LR he likes and move it so you can see it....

The anenome will know and will move again, I tried countless times but he wont stay there. He found a good spot that has never moved from and you can see it all the time too
