Hi everyone, I'm new here. I'm from Washington State, USA, and I started a new fishkeeping hobby a couple months ago. What started as a 10 gallon tank for my son turned into a huge project where I had to figure out my style and what I wanted it to be. My ideas were too big, so I got a 30 gallon as well. I wanted more fish! 
I'm into naturalistic looks, so I have all live plants. I've tried different types of substrate, several plant species, different types of filters, etc. I already have so many questions, from algae to parasites to tankmates, which I'll be posting about here.
My 10 gallon is a community tank with a gorgeous betta (see my profile pic), some endlers and shrimp.
My 30 gallon will be a community tank but so far just has neon and green neon tetras and snails.
