:shout: Hello everyone , this is only my second post on here! I have been reading in this area for days and there are some amazing tanks. I have a Vision 180 setup and I already have the tank set up , matured and fish in. I've done this A** backwards I reckon . :grr:

Can I plant my tank out at this stage or am I gonna have to remove the fish first? I have always kept fish but never in planted tanks and have never had any problems. I really need some help. The tank was set up almost 2 months ago. I just added fish from my biorb into it and they won't stop breeding  so this can't be too bad. :hyper:

I need help..............I've ordered my Co2 and now I'm panicking cause I don't know how to set it up and get it ready for the plants.

hi there

what type of set up do you have ( fish, ph, temp et) and what look are you going for. it is not to late at all to add the plants so no worry there. if it is a new tank some plant food will help as there will be limited nutrients in the water. good lights are need but other than that you are ready to go.

start slow though as only bad things happen fast :(

I would suggest you read the pinned articles on lighting, carbon dioxide, and the estimative index. Whatever questions you have after reading them, feel free to ask!

Deffinatly have a read of those pinned articles. Tons of vaulable info in there. I would have been lost without them.

Other than that, we do need some basic info on your tank, as stated above, but the most important thing I need to know is how far into this do you want to go? Setting up a fully planted tank can cost quite a bit.

How much light do you have on the tank now? Since you already have CO2 I would imagine that you want lots and lots of plants, which means you will want a good amount of light, and therefore, will need a pretty good fertalizing routine (that's the Estimative Index thing - it's complicated at first, but sooo easy once you get into it).

The co2 will make your pH drop in the tank, so you need to make sure that your fish are able to tolerate a lower pH.

Feel free to ask any and all questions you have.

Ok , I have a Juwel Vision 180 Tank (180 Litres) I am using the lighting system that came with it and that includes 2x25 watt bulbs. I have a ph of 7.2 for guppies , I also have kuhli loaches , corys, and 2 shrimp.

Is there anything else you need to know , my Co2 is a basic for now until I get things going then I will upgrade it or we may try one of the diy kits that I have been reading about on here.

Thanks Guys

Tim :good:
