Amoxicillin fish food recipe?

Hello. So I have a fish with popeye (lovely dumbo Betta I bought with the problem). I tried kanaplex for a week and I thought that handled the problem (eye had cloudy spots at the end of treatment but I thought maybe it was just odd colouring. but it relapsed and came back. I tried doxycycline too and that is working much better actually but I also wanted to try some amoxicillin fish flakes too because the popeye is being quite stubborn (figured a recipe would be good to have anyway because I’m given free amoxicillin for life due to a medical condition It’s a med I will always have). Been looking around and am having a hard time finding one. One of my vet books states what mg/kg for oral dose for fish and amoxicillin but I don’t know how I’d go about making that for a small fish like a Betta.

General consensus here is to avoid meds unless as a last resource. That said could you post a picture of the fish to better enable others with actual disease knowledge to better advise?

Are you treating in a quarantine tank? Antibiotics can kill beneficial bacteria in the filter and rest of tank.

Yes. 2.5gal with a bubble filter. I heard doxycycline is one of the worst when it comes to killing benefitial bacteria so I’d definitely not treat a main tank with it.
