Swapped my tank over 2 weeks ago with about 30 fish.
Swapped media from internal to a new external filter and renewed gravel.
Tests showed ammonia at a level of about 1 - 1.5 so started water changes of about 20-25% daily.
Nitrites were 0.
About 3-4 days ago nitrites have started to creep up...still less than 0.3 but started.
Testing everyday and now doing 40-50% water changes daily due to ammonia level.
Ammonia same every day and nitrites.
No fish have died.
Am i doing the right thing with 50% daily changes ? and will they eventually drop?
Added some King British Safe Water on Friday to help things out.
Any thoughts and ideas appreciated.

Cheers.

Did you use water from your old tank? Sounds like the bacteria in the filter had nothing to feed on causing a slight crash meaning the ammonia and nitrites have risen. Do you have any other tanks with established tank water or any more established media?

I used about 50% of old tank water plus all old filter media.
Everything else was new.
Something definitely gone wrong.
Nitrogen cycle well underway again.
Just wondering best way to manage it while full of fish.

Thanks

should be a mini cycle and be sorted within a week, just keep testing and changing water as you have been.
