Ammonia the troubles I have

Home Depot: lemon Ammonia
Small Local Hardware store: No Ammonia
K-Mart: No Ammonia
Publix Grocery: Shook bottle and it foamed up
Target: No Ammonia
Wal-Mart: Some additive in it

I can not believe Pure Ammonia is like winning the lottery!

If you get "clear ammonia" from Publix, that works fine. When you shake it up there are some bubbles but if you compare it to an ammonia with surfactant that actually foams you can see the difference.

I got the one from Wal-Mart called "Clear Ammonia" that another board member posted a picture of. It does list a "chelating agent" in the ingredients but it has worked fine for me, and others as well. HTH!

I had the same problems as you trying to find pure ammonia... was finally told the reason stores don't carry it is it's used in meth labs.

that sounds like it, it had Water, Ammonia and chelating agent or something like that. I shook it and it didn't buble of foam

If it had purple label is is good, I have it in front of me now
