It seems as long as you have ADA aqua soil.. dwarf hair grass will grow and spread .. well plus 2+ WPG. I had some hairgrass that jsut lived, not thrived or spread out since May 06. As soon as I added ADA aqua soil (amazonia) it began growing runners and is starting to spread out. so.. you might wnna get amazonia.. since you are doing the amazon and all. but what do I know.. i have only had it for a few weeks.. but it is amazing stuff!

i've decided not to go with dwarf hairgrass, my oppinion is that if anything *could* be considered a bit tricky, it would probably how i would find it.

i have 1.1WPG in a tallish tank with just gravel substrate and no immediate plans for CO2, are the chances of my tank playing out in the way i have envisioned realistic?

i had a dream last night about walking onto an abandoned golf course and the tall grass there were pearls a meter high, i casually walked amongst them, popped them and they gently burst in slow mothion - i think it was a vision. the vision i call my planted tank.
