Aaww, they are cool king72. very nice. What tank is that? A Juwel Rekord ? Tank looks good.

i think it is a Jewal rio 125 (30g). its finished in beech. i have had it for about 2 months and introduced the fish 2 weeks ago. they seem to really like it :D

well thats the strange thing. they are in full colour, they have dug up the world and cleared 3 nests. i have even seen the male doing a shimmy type dance infront of the female. but this has been going on for atleast a week but no eggs. :/

they are both very protective towards the nests and are always chasing off my goldie plecco.

water seems fine, doing 20% water changes weekly, and verying food with live and pelets.

maybe they are just doing it properly, you know build a house, get married then have kids. :D

i read that they will normally lay eggs on a flat clean surface -_- . they seem to be focusing most of their attention to the area underneath the bog wood. would they lay on that.?

they would lay on bogwood even the glass if they had to.

lovely convicts btw

:good:

The same thing is happening with my T-bars, who are very closr relatives to Convicts. Even both their tubes were/are out.
