Amazing Mt. Rainier Scenery

Yey for hiking!! I love it, and hadn't been for a long time, so today was great. Went with my dad and we went up to Mt. Rainier National Park and took the loop trail around Naches Peak. Was a beautiful day for it.... I'm tired now though. 2 hours (good clip!) at over 5500 feet is a little bit of work!

Here is one side of the peak that we were at for awhile... LOTS of snow left! We had to cross quite a bit of it at times. Sure pretty though.

First lake we came upon!

A closer view. This water was so unbelievable clear and beautiful!! There was also a lone loon (giggle) in the middle of the lake... I love loons. First time seeing one in person.

One more lake shot... only this is a different one. Just look at that water... I LOVE it. Nothing else comes close to a mountain lake.

And the highlight of the hike...... the deer!! I was so excited to see it I almost dropped the camera. It was so close to us, I wouldn't have seen it if I hadn't heard it.

Beautiful wildflowers. They're just starting to come out. I thought these were just amazing aganist the rocks.

And the majestic mountain itself. *happy sigh* The sun was in a bad place for the picture, but you can still see how amazing this mountain is.

Happy Traaaaaails to you..... Dad didn't know I was taking this pic, and I was walking so I'm quite happy with how it turned out. Very green and pretty!!

Last one... our final lake. There were trout in this one!! I got a pic of them, but unless you know where to look, you probably would just see sticks and rocks. Anyways, hope you enjoyed these, I know I did!
