Amano Shrimp

Hi sorry if this come up twice as i tried to post it in a link to a thread by Bloo,
but i was just wondering if i could have some amano shrimp`s in my community tank it is 60 gallons with 16 small fish in total, guppies, zebra danios dwarf gourami and silver tipped tetra the thing is i have all artificial plants though they are covered in algee, as i understand the shrimp need live plants, is this correct or would they be happy eating the algee and scraps of food from the bottom...

Don’t know if you got an answer on another post, they will be fine they don’t need plants they just like hiding places and picking the algae and micro food off them, fake plants will do fine for them. The fish you have will be fine with them too.
